“I am a nurse practitioner forever interested in treating the WHOLE person, not just symptoms. I fell in love with yoga years ago. Near the end of my teacher training I was introduced to Ayurveda, the sister science of Yoga. This led me to the Minnesota Institute of Ayurveda. I completed my first year and I am now certified as an Ayurvedic Counselor and I am pursuing second year to become a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner. The training I have received has been superb and life changing, both personally and professionally. Marcia and Dr. Asavari are incredible teachers and I am forever grateful that I have the opportunity to study with them. I have the tools to provide a holistic practice and I am excited to see where this takes me.”

Leigh Lambrecht Haaglund

AHC Graduate & Ayurvedic Practitioner Program

“My learning experience at the Minnesota Institute of Ayurveda has helped me deepen my understanding of Ayurveda as a holistic healing system in theory and practice. The teachers’ wisdom and experience, along with their teaching approach and the small class size has enhanced my life and my Ayurveda practice because of the additional exchange, sharing and integration between teachers, classmates, colleagues and friends.”

Jodi Griffith

Graduate AHC & Ayurveda Practitioner Student

“Asavari is a fantastic and knowledgeable teacher. She is very informative and doesn't shy away from the tougher and more thought-provoking questions (which I often ask). It is always a pleasure learning from Asavari! Thank you for all the knowledge and wisdom you pass on to your students. It has helped keep my journey informative and pleasurable.”

SchaOn Blodgett

CCP, BTAT Holistic Health Professional at Psinergy Natural Health & Holistic Wellness

“I took 6 weeks Ayurveda course and enjoyed it tremendously! My dad, a doctor, was advising me to study Ayurveda long time ago. But it was not possible in my country. Now, 30 years later I've got that opportunity. It is a real wisdom of the human body, health, and life. It gave me understanding why I act, look the way I do, what to expect, what I should pay attention to, what to bring more into my life and what to avoid. I look at Ayurvedic wisdom as a never ending journey, guidance, and path to a balanced, healthy condition, when you can fully enjoy the life. I plan to study Ayurveda deeper, apply that knowledge in my family, spread good word among my friends. I liked our instructor's, Asavari Manvikar, presentation style. Nice pace, well-organized handouts, broad and deep info, illustrations with video clips and even real herbs.”
